FUNCTIONS

INFRARED AMMO COUNTER

Displays both number and visual bar with configurable style and behaviour

6 quick-change presets of 0-9999 rounds

Color changes at 2/3 and 1/3 of ammo percentage

Can count down or up

Shots detected using an infrared barrel sensor, sound, or both combined for misfire detection

3-AXIS MAGNETIC COMPASS

Displays your current magnetic heading

3 Modes: Bearing (Azimuth), 8 Cardinal directions (N,NE,...), 16 Cardinal directions (N,NNE,NE,...)

Critical for proper navigation and tactical awareness

Fully 3D with automatic ground reference - works under any angle and orientation

FIRE RATE & DELAY METER

Accurately measure the fire rate (RPM) of your weapon

With proper equipment (not released yet) can also be used as a simple chronometer

HOP-UP ASSIST

Lights up red when your weapon is tilted sideways too much

Helps you fire BBs with optimal, straight-upwards spin and maintain best range and accuracy

Configurable (1-10 degrees) tilt threshold angle

REAL-TIME CLOCK

Shows the current time in 24hr format

Helps keep track of important game events

BATTERY VOLTAGE METER & LV ALARM

Displays voltage or charge percentage estimate of your weapon's main battery.

Settings for NiMH (8.4 or 9.6 V) and LiPo (7.4 or 11.1 V) batteries

LiPo Low voltage alarm - displays on-screen warning when battery voltage drops too much

FULL CUSTOMIZATION

More than 30 different settings ranging from UI colors, styles, behaviour or feature configuration

Save your settings into 4 different profiles to switch between

Quick-change display brightness with configurable screen saver

Rotate the whole screen picture by 90 degrees for sideways mounting

How does it work?

Tachyon V3.2 has 3 modes of operation:

  1. Infrared detection - Fired BBs are detected using an IR barrel-mounted sensor. Most accurate with best results, but the external sensor must be attached, replacing any potential barrel attachments.
  2. Sound detection - Shots are detected through physical vibrations by an on-board contact microphone. No external sensor is needed, but functionality is slightly limited. See Sound detection for more information.
  3. Combined mode - Shots are detected using both methods at once, which enables misfire detection. When a shot is detected through sound, but no out-going BB is detected by the sensor, a warning is displayed.

Setup is easy and simple. All you need to do, is to attach the barrel sensor (if used), and the Tachyon computer to your weapon. Then, you use the included battery splitter cable to connect the device to your weapon's battery (No soldering or re-wiring required).
